How we can help....

We give legal advice & representation to people with low incomes in the following situations:

  • If ODSP has denied your application for disability benefits.
  • If ODSP has suspended, cancelled or made a large reduction in your monthly benefits. In this situation, contact the ODSP office first. Your ODSP worker can explain what happened and sometimes help resolve it.
  • If ODSP has decided that you have an overpayment of disability benefits. In this situation, contact the ODSP office first. Your ODSP worker can explain what happened and sometimes help resolve it.

Our Range of Services

For each person who contacts us, we decide on the extent of assistance we can offer. We will usually try to help you by doing one or more of the following things:

  • Providing legal advice by telephone call or in person
  • Meeting you to review documents
  • Preparing documents to assist you
  • Representing you in an appeal to the Social Benefits Tribunal
  • Referring you to other resources if we are not able to assist you
